JILL JOLI
WULKAN
FRESH
PERSPECTIVES IN GEOMETRIC ABSTRACTION
Jill Joli Wulkan's acrylic
abstractions take design and geometric precision to a fresh new
level. Her bold, colorful multi-point perspectives invite the viewer
to journey through the dimensional complexities of each painting.
Jill
describes her style as 'evocative abstraction.' The viewer can
readily identify the architectural references and the imagery of a
city skyline, a lazy cat, hard-edged interiors, a child's game, an
aerial view of a busy network of highways, a crowded bookcase and
other elements that are found everywhere around us. She expresses
these objects by exaggerating their common denominators: aggressive
bold lines, sinewy curves, and soaring angles ... as she says, "the
simple, beautiful essence of all things ordinary."
