ABOUT THE ARTIST
Jill went to Oakwood, a small Quaker private school in Poughkeepsie, NY, and attended Vassar College.
She worked at several Manhattan advertising agencies before joining the publishing division of American Express, where she rose to the position of Vice President of Creative Services.
In 1981, she and her husband, Ron, quit their day jobs to start an advertising and marketing firm, with a client list that included several Fortune 500 companies. As the agency's art director, she developed a distinctive style of thought-provoking design and geometric precision. In 1996, the Wulkans retired to Sarasota, Florida, where Jill now paints full time and Ron writes novels. He recently published The Gook Lover, for which Jill designed the cover art.
Jill's work is regularly included in national and regional art centers, juried and invitational shows, as well as in solo and group shows at commercial venues in Florida. She has won numerous awards, and her artwork can be found in many private collections throughout the U.S. and Canada.
